Clean Data Quickly Using Excel Shortcuts

You won’t believe how easy it is to clean your data in Excel with this shortcut. It’s ctrl F and here’s how to use it. Let’s say that you have a table over here, and in the years of experience column, you have the years, the dash, and then the actual number. Now let’s say that you want to clean this column so that you only display the number.

Well, instead of manually clicking and deleting every single one like so, You can simply use Ctrl F. Here’s how. First, press Ctrl F, and then click on Replace. Once you do that, you’re going to type years with a dash, because that’s what we want to replace, and we want to replace it with a blank cell, so nothing.

So I’ll leave this blank, and then I’ll click on Replace All. And once you do that, Excel will automatically remove that years and dash for you. That’s it!
